In this section, we would like to share with you a snapshot of the initiatives, main projects and key outcomes that best capture our commitment to sustainability.

COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

IMPEGNO AMBIENTALE

Renewable Energy

The group’s main offices are powered by electricity produced by certified renewables.

Emission Management

The group monitors its greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) and adopts measures to help minimize those emissions—such as the use of renewable energy to power our offices, remote working arrangements and the sustainable management of the company fleet.

Action Plan

  • Transfer to new LEED Platinum-certified premises (Via San Vigilio, 1), with a higher energy efficiency rating and fitted with advanced, gas-free air conditioning systems.
  • Switch to certified renewable energy contracts for electricity supply to the Via San Vigilio 1 office and our new Naples office (opened in November)
  • Monitoring of Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions (2022 and 2023)
  • Progressive overhaul underway of the company fleet, involving the introduction of hybrid or electric vehicles

  • Training: unrestricted access for employees to our proprietary Open Learning platform and its digital content, grouped by thematic area, with a view to enhancing general skills (soft skills, Office suite, introduction to artificial intelligence) and knowledge of sustainability issues (key concepts, legislative framework, the impacts of ESG criteria on company strategy, diversity & inclusion in the company)

Adoption of a sustainability plan linked to the company’s growth strategy and monitoring of ESG performance through specific KPIs.

Business Ethics & Organizational Model

Digit’Ed has adopted an Organizational, Management and Control Model in accordance with Legislative Decree 231/2001 and an array of procedures—including an Anticorruption Procedure and Whistleblowing Procedure—designed to clearly identify roles and responsibilities and prevent the predicate offences contemplated by the decree.
Governance at Digit’Ed encompasses the Legal & Compliance department, which works to ensure that all company processes and procedures are aligned with statutory requirements and internal standards.

Action Plan

  • Designation of an ESG Officer for the company and the individual owners of the actions outlined in the ESG Action Plan
  • Adoption of a Group ESG Policy, covering all material topics
  • Monitoring of ESG KPIs linked to each material topic
  • Inclusion of ESG objectives in the incentive system for executive managers involved in the correct implementation of the ESG Action Plan

Sustainability of Services

Digit’Ed actively works to provide cutting-edge learning experiences for its clients, building on more than thirty years of experience in the sector, highly-qualified staff and next-generation technologies.

CSRD Compass

Digit’Ed actively supports client companies in rolling out processes to comply with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. A range of learning library and custom courses is provided to ensure adequate internal knowledge of environmental issues for people to understand the sustainability strategy adopted by the company and steer the transition process more efficiently.

The Group adopts strict measures for the protection of personal data, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification guidelines.
